According to the Ministry of Interior in Qatar, car owners have 30 days starting on July 27, 2025, to resolve their registration issues or they will face legal repercussions. All vehicles with expired registrations that are older than the time range permitted by Article (11) of Traffic Law No. 19 of 2007 are eligible for this grace period, the notification stated.
The General Directorate of Traffic has taken this action as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that everyone is following the traffic laws. Its goal is to create a more controlled and secure traffic environment where expired tags are not overlooked.
Owners of vehicles are advised to verify their registration status as soon as possible. Driving with an expired registration can result in fines or other legal action.
The official 30-day renewal period has commenced. All individuals are advised to log into the Ministry of Interior’s digital portal, ensure that all required documents are up to date, and proceed with the renewal process promptly.
