Qatar Foundation member Al Shaqab will launch the fourth season of the Al Shaqab Equestrian League on October 16–17 at the Longines Indoor Arena. The league aims to discover emerging talent, develop riders’ skills and prepare them to represent Qatar in international equestrian competitions.
The fourth season of the Al Shaqab Equestrian League will feature five rounds, scheduled for October 16–17, November 13–14 and December 11–12, 2026, followed by April 30–May 1 and May 14–15, 2027.
The league includes eight categories for different age groups and skill levels, with jumping heights ranging from 40 cm to 145 cm. Categories include preliminary, amateur, Future Champions, Junior Champions, Youth Champions and Al Shaqab Champions, providing riders with opportunities to develop their skills and progress to higher levels of competition.
The fourth season introduces changes to the team competition, replacing the amateur category with Al Shaqab Champions to raise standards and intensify competition. Twelve teams, each comprising four riders from the Al Shaqab Champions, Youth Champions, Junior Champions and Future Champions categories, will compete. The format encourages teamwork, knowledge-sharing and skill development among riders of different ages and experience levels.
Al Shaqab continues to develop Qatar’s equestrian sector by training emerging riders, offering competitive opportunities and preparing them to represent the country at regional and international events.
