Art Basel has opened its first-ever fair in the MENASA region (Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia), marking a major milestone in the fair’s global expansion and the international art market. Art Basel Qatar, presented in partnership with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) and QC+, is being held across Msheireb Downtown Doha and runs until February 7.
The debut edition features 87 international exhibitors showcasing works by 84 artists, with more than half representing the MENASA region. Hosted across M7 and the Doha Design District in Msheireb Downtown Doha, the fair adopts a solo-artist presentation format instead of the traditional booth layout, creating a more open and immersive way for visitors to engage with the artworks.
