The Ministry of Culture's Garangao Market event got underway at the Darb Al Saai offices in Umm Salal on Monday. The Garangao Market, which runs until March 24, aims to preserve the long-standing Qatari heritage, traditions, and rituals while also fostering national identity and savouring the ambiance of the holy month of Ramadan.

The public was eager to take advantage of the historical legacy by purchasing Garangao-related clothing that reflects these deeply ingrained elements in Qataris' memories and consciences, and this resulted in a phenomenal attendance for the market's opening. 

There are over eighty businesses at the market that showcase and sell a range of Garangao items, food, and supplies.
