Inaugural Luminous Festival launched yesterday featuring a spectacle of light and entertainment

Hundreds of people flocked to Al Sa'ad Plaza on Lusail Boulevard yesterday as the first-ever Luminous Festival got underway, illuminating the area in a kaleidoscope of hues. The event, which offers spectacular entertainment with lights, will continue until March 2. 

The event turns the space into a glowing paradise from 5 p.m. until midnight, with over 20 interactive installations spread over five different zones. A variety of entertainment choices, theatrical shows, and live mascots provide visitors with a sensory feast.

A plethora of entertainment studded the audience at yesterday's opening ceremony, laying the groundwork for days chock-full of family-friendly activities, live music, and light displays.

According to Qatar Tourism, the event appeals to tourists of all ages and tastes since it blends innovation and creativity. 

There are five different zones throughout the event, and each one offers a different themed experience. Visitors are met at the Gateway with displays created by Limelight, an internationally known design company specialising in immersive experiences and lighting art.

Performers like Candela and Boogie Woogie enthral audiences with universally accessible cultural performances throughout the festival. Additionally, local and international performers will grace the stage, guaranteeing guests a wide variety of entertainment.
