An artificial intelligence-powered system called "Eye" has been introduced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) to automate the processing of work permit applications and drastically cut down on the requirement for human intervention "except in exceptional cases."
The correctness and legitimacy of papers including passports, academic degrees, and personal pictures are confirmed by the system using an AI agent. By automatically analyzing and cross-checking data, it expedites approvals, reduces human error, and streamlines administrative processes.
The system was revealed by MoHRE at Gitex Global 2025, where it was described as a significant advancement in the use of AI in government services.
MoHRE wants to make document verification and permit issuance quicker, more accurate, and more efficient by incorporating AI into this process. This is in keeping with the UAE's broader push for smart government services.
