The Ministry of Interior has issued a public advisory urging people not to play audio or video clips featuring the National Warning System alert sound.
In a statement on April 2, 2026, the Ministry warned that using such tones as ringtones or in public places could cause panic and disrupt public order.
It added that misuse of the alert system violates regulations and may result in legal action, urging the public to report incidents by calling 999.
