Many ministries in Qatar have been working hard to fully digitise their services, which would increase public accessibility and use. A new totally digital service called Request to Join the Labour Market (Change from Family Residency to Work Residency) was presented by the Ministry of Labour (MoL) on Wednesday. The assistance is specifically designed to help Qatari private businesses. Employers will find it easier to hire locals thanks to the new service rather than needing to invest time and money in hiring foreign candidates.
On the other hand, it will make it possible for locals to take advantage of additional job possibilities and engage more fully in the community labour market. During an entrepreneur seminar hosted by MoL in association with the Qatar Development Bank (QDB), the new service was introduced.
Attending the seminar were representatives from the National Workforce in the Private Sector departments as well as Work Permits, Labour Relations, Inspection, and Labour Disputes departments under the Ministry of Labour.
