Old Doha Port has opened registration for the third Old Doha Port Fishing Competition, taking place in March 2026 alongside the second Fishing Exhibition, in partnership with Doha Marine Sports Club.
Registration is open from February 24 to March 18, 2026, at the club’s headquarters. The competition will run from March 25 to 28, with teams competing to catch the heaviest Kingfish (Kanad) in Qatar’s waters. Boats will depart from Old Doha Port, which will also host the final weigh-in and awards ceremony.
After attracting 578 participants across 132 teams last year, the event returns with major prizes for the top 10 teams, including vehicles for the top three winners and a boat for fourth place, along with cash rewards and vouchers.
Team leaders must be Qatari captains (Nukhatha), while residents and GCC nationals can join as members. Registration requires valid IDs and boat documents, submitted at the Doha Marine Sports Club headquarters.
