Private-sector employees to observe paid holiday on December 18 for Qatar National Day

The Ministry of Labour has declared Thursday, December 18, 2025, as a paid public holiday for all private-sector employees in celebration of Qatar National Day.

The ministry clarified that employees required to work on the day due to operational needs will be compensated in accordance with the overtime provisions outlined in Article 74 of the Labour Law.

In its announcement, the ministry conveyed its heartfelt congratulations to Qatar’s leadership, citizens, and residents, reaffirming shared values of loyalty, unity, and national belonging.
