Qatar has been named one of the top ten inexpensive tax-free nations in the world

One of the top ten least costly tax-free countries in the world for foreigners to relocate to in 2024 is Qatar. The nation is placed seventh in a recent survey released by the expat insurance platform William Russell, which provides strong impetus for the growing expat population. According to the survey, with a population of around 2.7 million, Qatar had a relocation score of 5.06 out of 10.

The data was selected by researchers based on a variety of expenses, such as rent, airfare, and utility bills—all of which are necessary for the expats to pay. Even while some nations provide tax-free lives, daily expenses account for the majority of costs incurred by expatriates.

According to the article, a one-way ticket from London, the capital of the United Kingdom, to Doha, the capital of Qatar, costs about $356 (QR1296.37). Conversely, the approximate cost of a one-way ticket from New York to Doha is $551 (QR2006.47).

An apartment in Qatar costs, on average, $403 (QR1467.52) per square metre. The nation ranks as the fourth most economical tax-free country when it comes to monthly utility costs, which run to about $112 (QR407.85).

The GCC countries occupied the top four spots among the world's top ten countries.

More than 4 million tourists visited Qatar in 2023, propelling the aviation and tourism sectors to robust development.

According to the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, the nation is expected to experience a growth in air travel and expects to handle up to 45 million passengers in the next years—a significant increase of more than 26 percent above the figures for 2022.

The aviation authority also noted that by the end of 2023, 44 carriers will have been added, offering direct flights from Qatar's Hamad International Airport to almost 190 places worldwide.

Experts and government representatives in the nation said that the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar opened doors for many visitors who were contemplating moving to Qatar and boosting the country's economy by looking into business and investment prospects.
