Qatar National Day has been postponed indefinitely in solidarity with the people of Palestine

Every year on December 18, the Qatar National Day (QND) Parade turns the Doha Corniche into a riot of hues, highlighting people's patriotic sentiments. To show support for the Palestinian people who have been targeted by Israeli occupation forces, the QND Parade has been postponed indefinitely this year.

The Israeli army has been bombarding civilian targets in the Gaza Strip and shutting off the city's water, power, and emergency medical supplies, all of which have contributed to the assaults' dramatic increase in recent weeks.

The formal statement of the Parade's postponement was issued on Monday by HE Dr. Khaled bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, the Minister of State for Defence and Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar.

The decision was made in response to HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's order.
