The Amiri Diwan has announced a four-day period of national mourning across the State of Qatar following the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The mourning period commenced on Sunday, July 12, 2026. In accordance with the announcement, work at ministries, government entities, public authorities and institutions will be suspended from Monday, July 13, 2026, with official working hours resuming on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Throughout the mourning period, the national flag will be flown at half-mast across the country as a mark of respect.
