Qatar Post has launched the Robotic Sorting Project with the aim to increase productivity in the postal operations sector

The Robotic Sorting Project has been begun by Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) under the direction of Minister of Communications and Information Technology HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai. To increase productivity in the postal operations sector and boost the effectiveness of material delivery to consumers and distribution operations, the project will make use of cutting-edge technology solutions.

A stunning fourfold increase is shown by the system's anticipated capacity of 4,500–5,000 parcels per hour. It provides distribution services to branches in addition to over 50 home delivery routes, guaranteeing complete coverage over the whole nation. The project includes a broad variety of services, such as e-government envelopes, postal packages, and varied weights of e-commerce products. The system, which consists of 70 robots, effectively classifies packages that weigh 0 to 30 kilograms and are up to 60 cm in size, which includes the majority of incoming mail for Qatar Post.

In his remarks, HE Faleh Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post, stressed that the implementation of the automated robotic sorting system represents a significant development for Qatar Post. It significantly speeds up the processing of incoming mail goods while lowering the risk of human mistakes in manual tasks. He also emphasized Qatar Post's dedication to advancing its core and digital services consistently in order to meet customer expectations with high-quality solutions and stay at the front of technological development.
