Qatar ranked 19th among the world’s best travel destinations in Condé Nast Traveller’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, becoming the highest-ranked Gulf country. The rankings were based on nearly 800,000 reader votes.
Condé Nast Traveller said Qatar’s ranking reflects its growing appeal as a tourism, cultural and events hub, with visitor numbers surpassing five million in 2024 and rising further in 2025.
Qatar’s blend of modern attractions and cultural heritage, along with its growing hospitality, dining and entertainment sectors, has boosted its tourism appeal. The country continues to invest in visitor experiences as part of its economic diversification strategy.
