Mowasalat (Karwa), Qatar’s leading transport provider, has launched the country’s first RoboTaxi under the Ministry of Transport, marking a major step in smart, sustainable mobility aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The autonomous service enhances passenger safety, comfort, and efficiency through advanced self-driving technology. Each vehicle features eleven cameras, four radars, and four LiDAR sensors for 360-degree awareness, navigation, and real-time obstacle detection, with a redundancy system for safe operation. All data is securely stored in Qatar, complying with national cybersecurity regulations.
Developed with global tech partners, the service combines international expertise with local standards to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.
