From November 1, 2026, Qatar’s General Tax Authority will electronically approve sweetened-drink analysis certificates through the Dhareeba platform, eliminating manual attachments. Accredited laboratories will send test results directly to the platform after analysing sugar and sweetener levels.
The electronic system allows test results and analysis certificates to be submitted directly through the platform, reducing manual work, improving data accuracy, and streamlining product registration.
The integration coincides with the expanded excise tax on sweetened drinks and supports the Authority’s efforts to enhance digital services and electronic integration.
