Stadium 974 celebrated National Sport Day for the first time, earning Guinness World Records recognition as the world’s largest temporary sports arena.
Organised by the Ministry of Interior, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Media City Qatar, and Visit Qatar, the event transformed the stadium into a vibrant hub of fitness and community activity, attracting thousands of residents.
The Media City Qatar Esports Village, operated by SNRG, was among 13 official zones, highlighting the link between gaming, technology, and traditional sports. Meanwhile, the Qatar Stars League’s football court drew crowds, with championship trophies and shields on display.
Visitors took part in activities such as boxing, basketball, archery, tennis, volleyball, paintball, and laser tag, as well as one- and four-kilometre runs and rock climbing. Dedicated children’s areas with light workouts and play zones ensured a family-friendly atmosphere.
