‘Tarsheed Smart EV Charging Platform’ launched; will effectively monitor operation, improve exceptional experience for customers

Qatar introduced smart electric car charging platform in a ceremony conducted in Doha on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. President of Kahramaa, His Excellency Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari, emphasised the value of the smart electric vehicle charging platform and expressed satisfaction with the teamwork and efficient collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology that led to this remarkable accomplishment.

He pointed out that the move was a paradigm shift that helped to promote a sustainable culture in society and praised the platform's crucial role in facilitating digital transformation and improving the sustainability of the industry. This platform will effectively support operation monitoring, enhance the excellent customer experience, and help consumers grow to new heights.

There was a fantastic chance for participants to come and test drive the EV and learn more about the economy and performance of electric cars during the application launch. Additionally, a space has been set aside for guests to become acquainted with the platform and learn how to utilise the programme. Customers of electric charging stations and EV owners were also given access to the application loading service, which allowed them to communicate directly with a staff that was ready to answer any questions and foster a culture of open communication at this historic occasion.

The platform, which aims to allow a smart EV charging solution and promote its usage by consumers and organisations, is a crucial step towards the future of digital transformation. In addition, the platform aims to make charging EVs easier. By doing so, users and charging service providers will be able to keep an eye on the nation's electric charging stations and charging operations, supporting a more sustainable environment and digital lifestyle.

The TASMU platform's superior capacities, which are particularly developed to promote smart technology solutions in multiple industries, were advantageous to the team throughout the platform's development. This allowed them to integrate high-quality technologies with great efficiency. These include data reporting, notification packages, dashboard services, GIS services, and identity management, to name a few. The efficient and user-friendly application that now caters to the increasing demands of electric car users in Qatar is a result of this integration.

Additionally, the platform is crucial to the development of clever, long-lasting solutions that contribute to the creation of a more ecologically friendly world. Since an electric car charge saves over seven tonnes of pollutants when compared to a conventional vehicle, the platform offers an ideal charging experience that lowers fuel usage and CO2 emissions.

By providing services that facilitate clients in finding charging stations, the platform offers a unique experience to users. By completing the application and providing personal and vehicle information, customers may take advantage of the charging services that are appropriate for their particular type of car. After that, users may search for and examine the complete details of the station that is closest to them. They can follow the charging procedure as well. Additionally, the software offers easy and safe electronic payment, which will be enabled eventually. In addition, it offers other services like problem-reporting, assistance, and a mobile notification system that updates the customer on any updates.

As the owner of the project, Kahramaa can also monitor the electric stations with the use of this platform, which raises the calibre of services offered. The National Programme for Conversation and Energy Efficiency 'Tarsheed' of Kahramaa and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's 'Tasmu' Smart Qatar Programme jointly launched this programme.
