Urban Planning and Development Authority

The Urban Planning and Development Authority of the State of Qatar (UPDA) is a governmental entity that solely carries out the Urban Planning & Development of the State of Qatar. UPDA is currently hiring planners to oversee and review consultants' works in their preparation of the Master Plan for Qatar and assist in the planning implementation process for the Master Plan.

The Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA) is an important turning point in the efforts and aspirations of the State of Qatar, in building a modern country possessing plans, goals, and functions that would help ensure the achievement of the highest rate of Urban Development. 

Establishment of long-term vision and studies scientific plans, distinguished by modern management, providing proactive and timely services for the citizens and expatriates, and able to promote large-scale urban development projects in the country which would be executed by renowned international companies in the coming years. 

Establish rules and regulations for the issuance of building permits, in accordance with urban plans and implement applicable regulations and resolutions.
