The Hayya visa was first extended in December of last year to expedite the entry of tourists and spectators from around the world for big sporting events and other events held in Qatar. The deadline for entry under the Hayya visa scheme for fans of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 came to a close on February 10.
Emails on the expiration of their Hayya visa entrance and the requirement to reapply with a new entrance Visa have begun to be sent to Hayya visa holders via the Hayya platform. The email stated, "You can submit a new Hayya application on Hayya or through the Hayya to Qatar App."
The Ministry of Interior's rules state that the visa is valid till February 24. The last day for visa holders to visit Qatar is February 10. They had the opportunity to take part in several tournaments during this window, such as the just-finished AFC Asian Cup.
