The Design Doha Biennial 2026 has opened to the public, featuring over 300 designers and studios from more than 50 countries. This year's expanded edition transforms Doha into an urban-scale exhibition, bringing the historic Fereej Al Asmakh neighbourhood into the programme alongside the return of the headline exhibition, Arab Design Now, at Msheireb Downtown Doha.
This year's edition explores how creativity can combine traditional knowledge with modern design to address social, climate and environmental challenges. It also encourages visitors to understand the ideas, materials and cultural practices behind each creation.
Doha's historic Fereej Al Asmakh neighbourhood, known for its traditional alleys and courtyard houses, has become an exhibition space showcasing how design can give historic urban areas new purpose while preserving their heritage.
The Design Doha Biennial 2026 runs until January 31, 2027. Adult day passes cost QAR 25, while children aged 16 and under and students can enter for free.
