
Pleasure craft, tourism, fishing, and other marine operations have all fully resumed their maritime navigation activities, according to the Ministry of Transport.
To ensure a safe and secure trip, it asked ship owners and passengers to prioritize safety by making sure that all required navigation and safety gear are inspected and operating correctly before and during sailing, according to a social media post.
Due to a GPS system malfunction that impacted navigation device accuracy, maritime navigation operations were halted on October 4. It declared a partial resumption on October 6th, permitting ships to operate within 12 nautical miles of the coast as long as they return before sundown.
