Hamad International Airport (HIA) has announced that, due to the ongoing regional conflict, it will step back from participating in all external exhibitions, conferences, industry events, and award programmes for the time being. This decision includes withdrawing from the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2026 and the Passenger Terminal Expo 2026 in London.
The airport emphasized that the safety and wellbeing of passengers, employees, and their families remain its top priority. It added that this move is intended to maintain full operational focus and ensure the security of all stakeholders.
HIA also expressed gratitude to its aviation partners and industry stakeholders for their continued support during this period.
