The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced that residents and citizens can conveniently apply for the issuance of work visas through the Metrash app. The ministry highlighted that the digital service eliminates the need to visit the General Directorate of Passports or unified service centres, allowing users to complete the process quickly and efficiently from anywhere.
The Ministry of Interior outlined the process for obtaining a work visa through the Metrash app:
- Open the Metrash app and go to the 'Visa' services section.
- Select 'Request Application'.
- Choose 'Work Visa' as the service type.
- Select the required visa and click 'Issue Visa'.
- Enter the necessary details and upload the applicant's passport copy and personal photograph.
- Review all information to ensure accuracy.
- Complete the payment and submit the application.
- Wait for the application to be processed and approved by the relevant authorities.
As part of Qatar’s digital government initiative, the Metrash app provides access to various services, including residency inquiries, traffic fines, and reporting features.
