MoI hosts seminar entitled “Security and Safety of Public Transportation: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as a Model”

A symposium hosted by the Police Academy's Security Research and Studies Centre and the Ministry of Interior's Public Transport Security Department discussed public transport security tactics in light of Qatar's 2022 FIFA World Cup experience.

"Security and Safety of Public Transport: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as a Model" was the subject of the symposium, which was attended by several Ministry of Interior officials and personnel as well as representatives of pertinent agencies. It included a wide range of subjects, such as the experience of protecting public transport during the World Cup, past encounters and knowledge in this area, and readiness and preparation for public transport safety and security.

Colonel Salem Sultan Al Nauimi, Head of the MoI's Public Transport Security Department, went over the department's responsibilities for protecting public transport and its various forms of infrastructure, as well as how partners have cooperated in the planning, development, and achievement of goals based on performance indicators.
