Qatar Rail participated in the “Sustainable Transportation and Legacy for Generations” conference and exhibition at DECC

The conference and exhibition titled "Sustainable Transport and Legacy for Generations" was held by the Ministry of Transport under the auspices of Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The event was held in the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), on September 17 and 18.

Qatar Rail showcased its operational successes in offering sustainable transport solutions and services at the expo and conference. The Doha Metro and Lusail Tram projects, which the business highlighted as examples of its commitment to environmental practises.

The company also emphasised the value of the Doha Metro Network and clarified its contribution to the creation of a comprehensive public transport system. Key partners and stakeholders in the transport industry that offer complementary services collaborate to promote this integration. The trial operation using electric buses to carry staff members from the stations to the Integrated Control Centre (ICC) at Al Wakra Depot was successfully completed, according to Qatar Rail.
