Qatar Rail will introduce the new 365-day metropass today at Sport City Station in Doha Metro as part of their Back to School event. The card, which costs QR990, will give passengers unrestricted access to the Lusail Tram and Doha Metro networks.
Qatar Rail is hosting the second edition of the "Back to School" event at Doha Metro's Sport City Station from August 19, to September 2, 2025, in partnership with a consortium of Qatari suppliers of school supplies.
Visitors to the event will be able to pre-book the pass at a 20% discount thanks to the company's exclusive Early Bird promotion. Early Bird coupons are only available for pickup at the event until August 31, 2025, and they can be used at any Lusail Tram ticket office or Doha Metro Gold Club office between September 1 and September 30, 2025. The original voucher must be presented at the time of purchase.
As the new school year draws near, the event, which is held at the Sport City Station on the Gold Line metro, gives customers and the general public the chance to check out special deals from bookshops and businesses that specialize in school supplies.
A variety of free activities for kids and families will be available as part of the event from 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 4 to 9 p.m. on weekends. In partnership with Qatar Rail, these consist of an interactive gaming area, painting, coloring, and art activities, as well as a number of contests and challenges that provide chances to earn worthwhile rewards.
