Qatar officially received the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) flag during Sunday’s closing ceremony of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, marking the start of its journey to host the 21st Asian Games in Doha in 2030 under the slogan “The Games We Live For.”
Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received the flag on behalf of Qatar. The ceremony also unveiled the Doha 2030 identity and official slogan.
The Doha 2030 identity blends elements of Qatari heritage with a vision for the future and the next generation. The slogan “The Games We Live For” reflects the ambitions of athletes and nations, highlighting the Asian Games as a platform for achievement, inspiration and lasting impact.
Doha will host the Asian Games for the second time in 2030, 24 years after first hosting the event in 2006.
