Qatar to host final three matches of FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025

Qatar will host the final three games of the coveted yearly competition to determine the best football club in the world, according to a statement released by the Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025 in collaboration with FIFA.

This significant athletic event gives Qatar's expanding calendar of international football contests even more impetus, the committee acknowledged in an official statement. The Copa de las Americas Derby, the Challenge Cup, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup are the three trophies up for grabs in these high-stakes fixtures, which will take place in Doha in December.

The annual club competition has already been held in Qatar four times, after successful hostings in 2019, 2020, and 2024, when Real Madrid won the title at Lusail Stadium, the same location as the historic FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final.

The tournament’s final stage will unfold as follows:

- On December 10, Cruz Azul of Mexico, winners of the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup, will clash with the Copa Libertadores 2025 champion.

- On December 13, the winner will go head-to-head with Egypt’s Pyramids FC, holders of the 2025 CAF Champions League title.

- The December 17 final will then pit Paris Saint-Germain, the 2025 UEFA Champions League winners, against the semifinal victor to crown the world’s top club.
