Qatar tops Arab World, ranks 18th globally in health services: Numbeo Index

Qatar has ranked first in the Arab world and 18th globally for health services in the Numbeo Index, an international benchmark assessing healthcare quality, accessibility, infrastructure efficiency and patient satisfaction.

In 2025, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) continued to strengthen the country’s healthcare system through forward-looking policies, effective regulation and enhanced service integration, ensuring high standards of care, efficiency and long-term sustainability.

MoPH data shows that Qatar’s healthcare workforce includes nearly 58,000 professionals across public and private sectors, encompassing medical, nursing, technical and administrative roles. Hospital capacity has reached 5,485 beds, reflecting ongoing expansion to support population growth, urban development and rising healthcare needs.

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) achieved major milestones during the year, reinforcing its role as the nation’s leading provider of specialised and secondary care and a regional model for clinical excellence. Its progress included strategic partnerships, service expansion, advanced medical technologies and nationally significant medical achievements.
