The International Society of Automation (ISA) announced at a press conference on Monday that the State of Qatar would host the ISA Conference 2023 on September 25 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha. More than 200 automation professionals from various oil and gas firms in Qatar and others with an interest in the oil sector from around the world will attend the event, which will be held under the topic "Digitalization in the Oil & Gas Industry."

Automation pioneers from the Europe, Middle East, and Africa area will meet in Doha on September 26 and 27, concurrent with the conference. The conference has returned after a five-year absence, according to Nilangshu Dey, president of the ISA Qatar Section, in part because of Qatar's quick economic development and continuous, major advancements in its oil, gas, petrochemical, and energy industries.

Dey further stated that nine papers from industry professionals chosen from various nations would be given in order to preserve global sustainability, which will be helpful to automation engineers in Qatar. To choose the working papers, a global technical council has been established, he continued. He emphasised the fact that the annual gathering of ISA Leaders from more than 15 nations in the EMEA area will take place in Doha on September 26 and 27.

According to ISA Secretary Radouane Zid, Qatar is the first Middle Eastern nation to hold this conference of world experts in automation, which has previously taken place in Europe for the past 75 years.

Zid emphasised that a large number of leaders in the automation business from several nations, including England, Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Canada, the United States of America, Russia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, India, Pakistan, and Portugal, will be attending the conference.

With the assistance of its approximately 50,000 global members and further 300,000 automation specialists, the premier, technical organisation ISA establishes the unique Engineering Standards for Automation for a variety of sectors. It also creates industry standards, certifies industry experts, offers education and training, publishes books and technical articles, and organises conferences and exhibitions for automation specialists all over the world.
