Seventh edition of Katara International Hunting and Falcon Exhibition- S’hail commenced on September 5

The seventh annual Katara International Hunting and Falcon Exhibition (S'hail), hosted by the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara, began on September 5. The event, which is open from 10 am to 10 pm, includes 190 significant businesses that specialise in hunting and falconry.

Along with cars designed for land and hunting expeditions, Qatar and 18 other nations will display equipment for camping, falconry, and hunting. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates will have a significant presence in the Gulf region, and there will be noticeable participation from several ministries, agencies, and government bodies, all of which will contribute by offering top-notch facilities and services.

The S'hail 2023 exhibition is notable for having 10% more floor space than any of the other iterations and being split into three wings: The S'hail auction theatre, which displays a variety of rare and expensive falcons, is located in Wing A, which occupies Al Hikma Square and is the main pavilion. Wing A has all weapons firms, hunting rifles, and the Souq Hospital, while Wing B displays hunting equipment, camping gear, and traditional crafts related to hunting and falconry.

A part of Pavilion C is devoted to specially designed four-wheel-drive cars meant for off-road excursions, sniper gear, and camping supplies. There is a bird market as well. The most opulent travel and camping trailers are on display in the adjacent outdoor area. The organising committee has also chosen a location on the southern side of Katara for the storage of firearms, hunting equipment, and ammunition.

The exhibition features a dynamic schedule of cultural activities. The theatre will host a schedule of scientific conferences and poetry evenings within Pavilion C. About 12 visual artists from Qatar, the Arab region, and overseas will also take part in the exhibition and present their works in front of the public, which will represent the mood of falconry, hunting, and marksmanship. The Fund for Supporting Social and Sports Activities and Qatar Insurance Group are two of the national sponsors helping to hold the seventh exhibition. The exhibition concludes on September 9.
