The Education City Tram Green Line, the newest addition to the Qatar Foundation's transport network, will soon be functional

The Education City Tram Green Line, the newest addition to Qatar Foundation's transport network, will soon be operational, with the organisation putting out a road safety warning ahead of its opening. The Green Line will connect Education City's North Campus - which contains the Qatar National Convention Centre, Sidra Medicine, and Qatar Science and Technology Park - with its South Campus, which houses QF's institutions and a number of its schools.

Although the Green Line is not yet available to the public, test trips will be conducted in the coming weeks. The Education City Tram will soon be passing the Gharafat/Al Rayyan intersection, where traffic lights and speed cameras have already been placed, as well as extra roadside barriers. With the opening of this new line, drivers and pedestrians are reminded to always obey traffic signals and, when approaching the Gharafat/AlRayyan junction, to exercise caution and be aware of the presence of the Education City Tram.
