The preliminary air transport data by QCAA for February noted an increase of 30.1 percent in aircraft movement

The number of aircraft movements and passengers increased significantly in February 2024, according to aviation figures issued by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA). According to the preliminary air transport data for the month, aircraft movement increased by 30.1 percent as compared to February 2023. 22,736 aircraft movements were noted in February of this year, compared to 17,479 flight movements recorded in the same time in 2023.

However, there was also a significant increase in the number of passengers during the month, up 34.9% from February 2023. According to QCAA, the nation had over 4 million travellers in February 2023 compared to over 3 million arrivals during the same month in 2023.

The number of travellers using Qatar's renowned Hamad International Airport increased dramatically in January 2023, rising by more than 27% over the month. There were 4.5 million travellers throughout the month. According to figures from the previous year, 3.5 million people arrived in Qatar overall.
