FIFA declared that for the second year in a row, the final three games of the 2025 FIFA Confederations Cup will be held in Qatar in December. FIFA confirmed in a statement that Egypt's Pyramids FC, the winners of the CAF Champions League, will host New Zealand's Auckland City FC, the Oceania champions, on September 14 to begin the tournament.
On September 23, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, the winner will play Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli SC in the tournament's second round. The victor advances to the final round, which will take place in Qatar.
According to FIFA, the Copa Americas match between the South American champions—whose name will be revealed later—and Mexico's Cruz Azul (CONCACAF champions) will kick off the three final matches that Qatar will host on December 10.
The winner of the Americas Cup match, the winner of the match between Pyramids FC and Auckland City, and the winner of the match between Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia will face off in the second Challenge Cup encounter on December 13.
This game will serve as the tournament's semifinal. When Paris Saint-Germain, the European champions, play the winner of the semi-final match on December 17, the competition will come to an end with the Confederations Cup final.
Under its revised structure, the final three games of the 2024 FIFA Confederations Cup were held in Qatar.
