Qatar’s Ministry of Justice has published a new Labour Ministry decision updating the Wage Protection System (WPS) rules. Under the changes, monthly and annual workers’ wages must be transferred to their bank accounts through WPS within seven days of the due date, with salaries becoming due on the first day of each month. Other workers’ wages are due every two weeks. The decision takes effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
