Travel cards become more user-friendly as they will be now accepted on Metrolink services

Qatar's public transport system has been completely transformed with the introduction of the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram services a few years ago. Travel cards have recently been even more user-friendly as they will now be accepted on Metrolink services, making them even more convenient for frequent travellers to utilise for transportation.

When using the services of the bus, holders of travel cards can now tap their cards—both ordinary and gold club—on the scanner. Nevertheless, paper tickets are not covered by the new option. In order to access the metrolink services, children older than five must also tap in. 

The notification also said that the Karwa Smartcards and the metrolink QR Code, which were first used, are still in use.
