'We All Have Responsibility' campaign launched

Minister of Sports and Youth HE Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali inaugurated the 'We All Have Responsibility' campaign on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Ibn Taymiyah Mosque courtyard in the Bani Hajer area in the presence of a number of representatives from the ministries and authorities, including directors of youth and girls centers participating in the campaign.

Following the inauguration ceremony, HE Minister of Sports and Youth toured the campaign sites and got briefed on the ongoing youth works that include afforestation and agriculture works in the courtyard of the mosque.

Several entities have participated in the campaign, including the Ministry of Municipality, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Endowments, Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Al Reyada Girls Center, Simaisma Youth Centre (Al Daayen), and AlWakra Girls Center.

Director of Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Fawaz Al Misifari said that the Ministry of Sports and Youth seeks to conduct urban planting in various regions across Qatar, pointing out that the three-day campaign has been launched from Reyada Girls Center and will transition to the venues of Simaisma Youth Centre (Al Daayen) next week, whilst the last week of the campaign will take place at the AlWakra Girls Center.

He added that the campaign intends to invest in youth energies in the area of offering societal and national projects that provide new prospects of societal action, in addition to developing the responsibility sense of youth, extending the communication bridges with the state institutions to further care for their vicinities and working to decorate them based on the campaign's aspiration.

Director of AlWakra Girls Center Reem Al-Khater said that the center engages in the 'We all have a responsibility' initiative in the presence of the center's affiliates during the inauguration of the campaign, indicating that Al Wakra City will begin this campaign in October with the participation of a host of the center's affiliates, including Al Wakra residents with the objective of working collectively and supporting the campaign's goal.

For her part, the Director of Girls Doha Center Sheikha Hussain Babsail discussed the importance of the campaign and praised the presence of a significant number of attendees during the inauguration, which underscores the youth's desire to support the implementation of the project. She hailed the selection of the courtyard of Ibn Taymiyah Mosque in holding the ceremony to help promote the revival of mosques.
