19th session of the Korea-Middle East Cooperation Forum will be hosted on November 6 in Doha

The 19th Korea-Middle East Cooperation Forum session will take place in Doha, Qatar, on November 6, 2023, and will be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs both in Korea and the United States. Established in 2003, the Korea-Middle East Cooperation Forum is an annual platform that rotates between the Republic of Korea and Middle Eastern countries as host countries. Notable personalities from both the public and commercial sectors participate in the forum.  The forum's 19th session, with the subject "Korea and the Middle East: Towards enhancing cooperation and consolidating partnership," will take place in Doha for the first time.

Three sessions are offered at the forum: "The Future of Humanitarian and Cultural Ties between Korea and the Middle East," "Strengthening Economic Partnerships in the Era of Green Transformation," and "Future Prospects for Korea and the Middle East."  Speakers and specialists from the Middle East and the Republic of Korea will be present at each session.

The event this year is being held in light of the expanding political, economic, diplomatic, and cultural ties and collaboration between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea, as well as between the Middle East and North Africa region's countries. It will be attended by notable intellectual, business, and political elites from the Middle East and South Korea.
