During the first half of 2025, Qatar's tourist industry continued to grow rapidly, with over 2.6 million foreign visitors between January and June, a 3% rise over the same time the previous year.
36% of immigrants came from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, followed by Europeans (26%), Asians and Oceania (22%), and Americans (7% each) and other Arab nations.
These numbers demonstrate how popular Qatar is in both domestic and foreign travel markets.
The effectiveness of Qatar's multi-access strategy, which guarantees easy and seamless admission for tourists from all over the world, is demonstrated by the country's 57% air travel, 33% land travel, and 9% sea travel arrival rates.
Strong performance in the hospitality industry accompanied this expansion; hotels recorded an average occupancy rate of 71%, up 2 percentage points from the same time in 2024. 5.23 million hotel nights were sold overall, which is 7% more than the first half of the previous year.
