Digital platform Minakom launched for maritime tourists to complete entry procedures into Qatar

With the inauguration of Minakom, a cutting-edge digital platform, Old Doha Port has announced that visitors arriving by boat and yacht as well as maritime tourists can complete entrance processes into Qatar, including passport control and customs procedures, without getting off their ships.

This milestone sets a new standard for maritime tourist arrival experiences, according to a press release released by Old Doha Port on Saturday. It also strengthens Old Doha Port's position as a global gateway where tradition, technology, and hospitality come together, and it provides visitors with an exceptional entry to the State of Qatar through this prestigious maritime gateway, just like other well-known ports in the region.

Minakom provides a smooth sailing experience into Qatar and is accessible via the official Old Doha Port website. From the comfort of their vessel, visitors only need to fill out an online inquiry form and get in touch with a logistics agent who has been approved by the port to finish the required paperwork with the appropriate law enforcement.

According to the press release, Minakom has made it easier for 250 private vessels to enter and exit the State of Qatar since its soft launch, highlighting the rising demand for digital-first maritime services.
