DIMDEX 2026 to feature more than 200 local and international security and defence companies

The Amir, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, witnessed the opening of the ninth edition of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026) at the Qatar National Convention Center on Monday.
Organised and hosted by the Qatar Armed Forces under the theme “A Global Hub for Defence Innovations – Invest in Possibilities to Shape a Secure Tomorrow,” DIMDEX 2026 will continue until January 22. The exhibition will feature more than 200 local and international security and defence companies, along with eight major international pavilions. It is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors across an exhibition area exceeding 40,000 square metres.
The ceremony featured the national anthem, a documentary on the Qatar Armed Forces, and a speech by the Commander of the Qatar Amiri Naval Forces, HE Major General (Navy) Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti. The Amir later toured the exhibition, viewing the latest maritime defense and security technologies presented by local and international companies.
The event was attended by senior officials, ministers, and guests from brotherly and friendly countries.
