
With 522 publishing houses from 43 countries and a range of cultural and artistic events, the 34th edition of the Doha International Book Fair, which began Thursday under the theme "From Engraving to Writing," is the largest in the fair's history in terms of participation, according to officials.
There are 166,000 titles in the fair's catalog, as well as a number of courses covering social and professional subjects and cultural and artistic events featuring prominent thinkers from the Arab world who address a variety of topics pertinent to visitors and society.
The fair, which is open everyday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Fridays from 3 PM to 10 PM, offers a variety of public services to visitors.
The Doha International Book Fair is one of the biggest and most established book fairs in the area, drawing significant attendance from Arab and Gulf countries as well as other nations throughout the globe.
