Doha is the tenth-most secure city in the world for tourists as per UK’s "Get Licensed” company

Doha is the tenth-most secure city in the world for tourists, according to a recent poll by the UK security training company "Get Licensed."

The capital of Qatar and Ljubljana, Slovenia, were tied for first place after each city earned a 7.56 out of 10 for its holiday safety. Additionally, it had one of the lowest rates of homicide in the world (0.42 per 100,000 persons by country).

Only 8.94% of those polled said they were concerned about being mugged or robbed, even though 82.37% said they felt secure walking alone at night. The city also scored zero on the Global Terrorism Index, and its reliability of police score was 7.92, making it the safest metropolis in the world.

Several safety parameters, such as crime and homicide rates, confidence in police, and other variables, were used to rank the cities.

The cities that came ahead of Doha were Reykjavik (Iceland), Bern (Switzerland), Bergen (Norway), Kyoto (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan), Singapore (Singapore), Copenhagen (Denmark), Salzburg (Austria), and Tokyo (Japan).

The least secure tourist locations worldwide were found in Lagos (Nigeria), Lima (Peru), Mexico City (Mexico), New Delhi (India), and Manila (Philippines).

Doha was ranked by Holidu as the fifteenth-safest city in the world for "solo women travellers" in 2016. It was the only city in the area to make the ranking of the top 50.

Recent years have seen a record number of visitors to Qatar thanks to the country's reputation as a safe travel location. In January and February 2023, the nation received 730,000 guests, up 347 percent from 2022.

The celebrations and events surrounding Qatar Tourism's "Feel Winter in Qatar" promotion encouraged a lot of travellers to visit Qatar.

With many more to come, Qatar Live 2023 has been hosting significant occasions and performances in the nation.

Doha's selection as the Arab Tourism Capital of the year was also a big assist.

The nation gained another bragging right when Skytrax named the Hamad International Airport the Middle East's Best Airport for the ninth consecutive year.

Doha has recently been ranked among the best cities in the world for living and working, outside of the tourist industry.
