Organisers have confirmed that Doha is fully prepared to host the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final Week, which will take place from December 10 to 13 in Lusail City. The announcement was made during a press conference organised by Visit Qatar, the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and the Qatar Triathlon Federation.
The event was attended by key figures including World Triathlon President Antonio Arimany, PTO CEO Sam Renouf, and Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation President Abdulaziz Al Tamimi. The championship week officially began on December 10 with the Qatar T100 Kick Off Run, held along Lusail Boulevard.
The event and fan village opened at Lusail Plaza, creating a lively, family-friendly atmosphere for visitors throughout the weekend. Fans can enjoy a range of interactive activities designed for spectators of all ages.
A major highlight will be the inaugural T100 Age Group World Championship on Saturday, December 13, giving amateur athletes the opportunity to compete for world titles. The schedule includes the 100km amateur race (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run) starting at 4:30pm, followed by the Sprint Triathlon at 10:30am. Award ceremonies will take place throughout the afternoon.
All races are free to watch at Lusail Plaza, with live coverage on large screens and a fan zone offering entertainment, activities, and refreshments.
