The ministry announced that electronic selection for shortlisted 1447 AH Hajj applicants will begin on Dec 2, 2025. SMS notifications will guide candidates to complete registration with accredited operators. Missing the deadline will result in cancellation of approval.
Applicants who receive an approval SMS must complete registration with one of the 24 Hajj operators within seven days via www.hajj.gov.qa to avoid cancellation. They must pay a QAR 10,000 advance—deducted from the total Hajj cost—and sign an electronic contract with their chosen operator. The advance ensures serious registration and helps operators plan services. It is not a fee but part of the final cost, which varies by service level, accommodation, and transport.
The department said the procedure ensures pilgrims are committed and allows operators to plan efficiently. It urged shortlisted applicants to compare prices and services, as offerings vary in accommodation, hospitality, and transport. Those with questions may call the hotline (132) for support. Awqaf noted Qatar’s quota for this Hajj season is 4,400 pilgrims, and the electronic selection follows this limit. New online payment features have been added to simplify fee submission based on each operator’s pricing. Early registration, introduced after two successful seasons, helps operators secure contracts and provide high-quality services. Awqaf added that all efforts aim to ensure a smooth, well-organized Hajj, in cooperation with Saudi authorities.
