The forthcoming Expo 2023 Doha is more than simply a wonderful display of gardens and breathtaking scenery. It is an event with a deeper purpose: to educate tourists about sustainability and climate change, as well as to promote innovative climate change adaption solutions. Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), underscored the importance of teaching at expos and the urgent necessity for worldwide collaboration in combating climate change. The BIE is the institution in charge of managing and regulating international expos.
Kerkentzes emphasised that the exhibition serves as a platform for informing the general public about the efforts that must be taken to adapt to the problems faced by climate change. Regardless of origin or geographic location, everyone must recognise that climate change is a fact that must be addressed. The exhibition gathers countries from many areas, each with its own distinct climate, together to teach visitors about the required adjustments that must be done in their everyday lives.
