The 'Collect on Return' service, newly established by Qatar Duty Free (QDF), offers passengers using Hamad International Airport (HIA) the opportunity to enjoy a more convenient shopping experience.
With the service, departing guests may purchase at HIA without worrying about lugging about extra weight or luxuries while traveling. On the passenger's return to Qatar, the purchased items are instead kept in a secure location close to the baggage carousels at the Arrivals terminal, where they can be picked up.
The service is applicable to a variety of products, such as electronics, luxury goods, cosmetics, and mementos. But things like cigarettes, chewing tobacco, and alcohol are not allowed, and there can only be 50 sticks of cigars.
QDF explained that only travelers traveling via HIA's Arrivals Terminal are eligible for the service. Since purchases cannot be returned once passengers have cleared customs, uncollected things must be arranged with customer service.
In addition to the numerous amenities that make HIA one of the most passenger-friendly airports in the world, the service represents QDF's efforts to streamline and improve the travel experience.
