Foundation stone laid for the first endowment projects of the General Endowment Department in Energy City Qatar, Lusail

H E Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, laid the foundation stone for the General Endowment Department's first endowment projects at Energy City Qatar, Lusail. The project will be created in an area of around 5,000 square metres with the eco-friendly green construction specifications, providing official spaces for rent in one of the world's most sustainable cities. The money received from the building's rentals would go towards charitable endeavours including supporting the Holy Quran Learning Centre and providing healthcare.

Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, Director of the General Endowment Department, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony and stated that the project will be implemented following the department's sustainable aims and eco-friendly standards.

According to him, the 4,961 square metre new project will include 178 parking places in addition to an administrative structure with two basement floors housing all the building's service rooms.
